There are a few different kinds of paddle tips I do.

And my personal favorite, Glass:
I like glass because it’s simple, wears even with carbon paddle, and doesn’t fray or bend. But some like the abrasiveness of aluminum and those are definitely the hardest to do.
Metal doesn’t stick to epoxy very well. Flexible epoxy sticks better, but I prefer a stiffer, high modulus epoxy. To get it to stick I’ve come up with a lot of different concepts.
